Well once again the weekend has gone and it’s Music Monday! Today I am sharing with you a video that I am very excited about!

This artist may have been on the commercial music scene for a short time than other artists that I have previously featured but she has created a fashion icon status for herself within that time.

Even though some of you may realise that I have featured this artist before (click here to view), today is the premiere of her new video on VEVO, a video that I have been waiting a while for and I can honestly say that it has been worth the wait.

Today’s video is by Lady Gaga for her new single ‘Applause’ and it shows her experimental side to explore art within performance and the every changing chameleon that she has become.

I love this video it is full of energy which complements this new track from her forthcoming album ARTPOP. I also love how it has been switches from black and white to the intense colours that have been used in smutches of clown make up.

So here it is check out the new video...

For me I love to see Lady Gaga put a modern twist on things that inspire her and as a creator myself I understand her interpretation of these influences. For me watching this video I see influences from David Bowie to Botticelli’s Birth of Venus and then hints of a circus’ clown’s make up twisted together with paint mixed in a palette or on a canvas.
