things that inspire - a walk in the park

I was just looking through my photos and I came across these and I just had to share them with you all.

They are from my trip to Sardinia to visit my best friend, when we decided to go for a walk one Sunday afternoon after lunch. What was a pleasant walk turned in to a little surprise as we stumbled across a little party going on right at the centre of the park!

A band that was dressed in white and red traditional outfits with beautiful embroidery detailing was playing music for a Russian mini festival in the park. The atmosphere was happy and fun as people danced joyfully around the park. There were also little stalls around the square selling little trinkets and food from Russian.

I had to take photos as I loved the patterned skirts that the women wore and the embroidery detailing. I also loved the use of scarves used as belts around the waist.

I hope you have enjoyed my post. What do you think of the outfits?

Another post coming soon so please stay tuned!

  1. Those costumes are wonderful! It's funny how those ethnic outfits are so similar wherever you go. You could have been in any number of Eastern European countries!

  2. Hi Caroline

Thank you for your comment, I completely agree! If I hadn't seen the Russia Dolls than I would have thought that they were traditional Sardinian outfits.

    Thanks
