#2014BloggersChallenge: Topic 4/High Street vs High end

I can't believe that topic 4 is upon us already! I am unsure where time is going at the moment as my schedule seems to have gone crazy busy.

Anyway back to topic 4 which is entitled high street vs high end. I'm sure that by the title you have guessed what I am going to be talking about.

Now like many of you, I personally don't have a tree in the back of my garden that is ever growing gold coins. And as much as I would love to own pieces by Alexander McQueen,Tom Ford and Prada to name a few, sadly my budget doesn't stretch that far.

That been said, it doesn't mean that you can't experience the best in life. I am a strong believer in the high street, they have great fashionable pieces that make buying into the latest trend so easy but I also believe that you should balance your wardrobe.

By this I mean invest in key pieces that will stand the test of time and this is my advice to anyone. Key pieces will always look great no matter what the latest trend is.

Should, Would & Could: The Backpack

When you invest in pieces like a pair of well cut jeans or black jacket you can really tell the difference and will instantly make any high street piece look even better and more expensive. This will also mean that they will last you a few season which in turn will save you money in order to buy into the latest fashion trends that are on the high street.

Now I know what you are think where do I find the money to buy into these key pieces? Well that's what's so great about the internet, google discount designer for example and a number of websites come up that make it so easy for you to purchase these.

If internet shopping is not for you then you can go to retail designer discount villages, where you can shop till you drop or you can even go to designer sample sales where big designers sell off their previous collections.

What are your thoughts on high street vs designer? Are you into high street, designer or a bit of both? I would love to hear your thoughts as usual on this topic.

Just as a final word, posted between my thoughts on this subject is my new themed boards called Should, Would & Could.

Should features items that wouldn't break the bank so basically items from high street stores.
Would features items that are in the mid-price range from stores that I like to refer to as designer high street.
Could features items that are in the designer price bracket.

I hope you have enjoyed this post!

The girl! x
