Ruby Goe

I had the chance to work with a new female music artist called Ruby Goe. Ruby's music is fresh and while her unique voice sings about broken hearts and guys that did her wrong, she fuses that over beats that get you dancing.

I had the chance to shoot the cover for her new single 'badman' along with Michael Furlonger and Bunny Allen. We were very excited to work with Ruby and all of us had great ideas to make her different from the other British talent that is out at the moment.

Below are the images from our shoot along with Ruby's new video for 'Badman'. Just listen! This tune will definitely get you hooked.

The white body that Ruby is wearing is by amazing Ibiza based designer 'Electric-Ibiza Bodywear'.

I hope you like these images and spread the word about Ruby, she really is one to watch!

White

The first time that I got to work with Michael Furlonger was on the white shoot. Our model Sam had the most amazing eyes and when Michael saw him he know that he had to shoot with him as he was perfect for our theme. Bunny Allen had the challenge of mixing her amazing make up skills with blood.

I LOVE the results of this shoot and the first image below is one of my favourite shots.

I hope you enjoy looking at these and I would love hear your thoughts.

Do you remember your first.........?

Today I'm not sharing my work but the work of another that I think is absolutely breathtaking. Ben Briand’s vision of that one life changing experience that we all remember is beautiful. The use dialogue within this short is well written and allows the viewer to feel the guys desire to feel the emotion of the moment when you have your first kiss. The direction throughout the film and the use of light in the dream like flashbacks are beautiful and shows innocence to this great storytelling. If you have never seen this short then please watch it and let me know your thoughts! Trust me it is worth a watch! No matter how many times I watch this I am still blown away by its beauty; it truly is my favourite short film. Enjoy....

Winter in London

Back in November 2011, I had the chance to work with Ryan Handy. Ryan use natural light amazingly. Karla Powell did the make up on this shoot and as you can see from the photo's this is lush! We went around the streets of Marylebone and ended in Hyde Park to take this picture and although it was a very cold winter's day in London, the photo's turned out amazing as you can see.

Hope you enjoy looking at these photos.

Hot!!!

Hi all

I'm back again to share with you my shoot that I did for Idol Magazine. This was once again shot by Michael Furlonger and as you can see the photos really are hot! (Please excuse the pun)

The inspiration for this shoot was that it was a really hot day and the guys had been caught in the unbearable heat! They are sweating, water deprived and heat stroked.

Hope you enjoy the hotness!

Behind the Look - Frozen

In this post I going to tell you all about how the Frozen look was created.

The preparation for this shoot took weeks of planning. The fantastic photographer Michael Furlonger brought on new member of the team to create this vision. Bunny Allen and I were very excited about this as it brought on more ideas and styles which would take this editorial to its full potential.

In order to keep this looking new, Michael did not want us to be consumed by the concept. The main inspiration for this was the BBC TV program Frozen Planet. Below is one of my favourite parts of the series.

Our lighting/colour and shade inspiration was the vogue shoot below. This is an amazing shoot and really embodied what we were looking to achieve for our shoot.

In teams of clothing I found the amazing designer Ekaterina Kukhareva. Her AW11 collection was truly breathtaking. The opulence of this range was perfect for what we were trying to achieve. This shoot was then completed with the addition of Lulu Liu’s red fur coat. Lulu again is anamazing designer and I felt that Ekaterina and Lulu’s collections complemented each other.

Below are behind the scene images from the shoot.

Above Bunny Allen and Sarah Parker are working on Rebecca's hair and make up.

Brrr...above is Rebecca's Frozen make up

I hope you have enjoyed my blog and have a better understanding ofthe thought behind the shoot.
